Would like to get some ideas for payout structure here.

Our current payout structure at $65 a team is as follows;

Playoff Results:
1st - $400
2nd - $200
3rd - $100
4th - $50

Regular Season Results:
#1  - $100
#2 - $70
#3 - $50
#4 - $50

#5  - $20
#6  - $20
#7  - $20
#8  - $20

Stats - $20 to leader x 12

I propose the following changes to our current structure. Which would give us $140 leftover to use towards some sort of non-playoff team tournament incentive or any other ideas.

Playoff Results
1st - $500
2nd - $250
3rd - $125
4th - $65

Regular Season
1st - $150
2nd - $100
3rd - $75
4th - $75

5th - $40
6th - $40
7th - $40
8th - $40

I'd have to think of the specific structure, but at first glance seems reasonable except for the $'s left in the non-playoff pool. I'd have to understand how that's getting split and it would have to be less than $40 to the top prize, so $140 seems like more than you would need there. Otherwise, if I'm the 7th or 8th place team who would need quite a feat to get more than the $40 season payout, I would likely tank to get a shot at more money in the loser's pool. Not the type of incentive I want to play with.

I agree with Jammy here. Payout needs to be voted separate - but we can designate there being a pool.

What about this:
Playoff Results
1st - $500
2nd - $250
3rd - $125
4th - $75

Regular Season
1st - $150
2nd - $100
3rd - $85
4th - $75

5th - $50
6th - $50
7th - $50
8th - $50

Categories
$30 x 12 cats

Best loser - $50
2nd best loser - $30

I think this would provide some incentive to the folks that miss out on the playoffs. It would discourage tanking as the best you could do in the loser pool is the same amount you would win just by making the playoffs
